Catcher of blocks (knots) fi 315

Block catchers (grippers) are used to catch larger fragments of transported material, such as knots and scraps, from the ventilation duct. Grippers are installed in the suction section of the extraction system to protect the fan from accelerated wear and damage. The gripper flap opens automatically when the fan is switched off, emptying it of captured pieces.

Note: pad catchers do not guarantee 100% separation efficiency - some pads may not be captured (especially at high pipeline speeds), or some sawdust may be deposited in the catcher (especially at low pipeline speeds).
