Manifolds are made in three variants of the baffle (bulkhead):

• The version with a rigid baffle and a small clearance between the bulkhead and the body (without elastic sealing) is used mainly in sawmills when processing wet ("wet") wood or wood with high resin content, where the phenomenon of wall casing easily occurs. Then the baffle acts as a scraper for the doused sawdust and avoids frequent opening of the manifold cover for cleaning. Since the baffle is made of 4-mm-thick sheet metal, it is resistant to abrasion and remains durable even with a large amount of transported material. The disadvantage of this solution is the leakage arising between the baffle and the body (especially unfavorable when the manifold is located on the vacuum side).
• Version with a rubber seal - recommended for working with dry material, especially with fine dust, for example, from grinding. Due to the organic resistance of the rubber to abrasion, this version is not recommended for large quantities of transported material.
• Version with polyurethane sealing - works analogously to the version with rubber sealing, however, the material used is many times more resistant to abrasion and is successfully used even in the recycling industry.

It is possible to lock the manifold baffle in the intermediate position.

Manifolds are made in such a way that it is possible to access the interior of the manifold without removing the body from the pipeline. It is also possible to remove the baffle for cleaning, replacing the seal or replacing the entire baffle.
