A cyclone is a device used to mechanically separate solid particles such as sawdust, wood chips and wood dust from the flowing air. It also works well in waste processing and plastics processing. Thanks to the use of centrifugal force, lighter fractions rise and leave the device through the upper outlet, while heavier particles fall to the bottom. The design of the cyclone allows for efficient operation in both positive pressure and negative pressure systems, and additional equipment such as a return spiral (also referred to as a tangential outlet) allows for air recovery after appropriate filtration.

Note: The cyclone is not a substitute for fine filtration - fine dust particles may not be fully captured, so in some cases it is necessary to use additional filters.
