Belt-driven conveying fans - flexibility in adjusting operating parameters

In pneumatic conveying systems, what often matters is the ability to adjust fan performance to the requirements of the process. Belt-driven conveying fans give us this flexibility - by changing the ratio of the belt transmission, we can adjust the rotor speed, and thus adjust the pressure and air flow to specific operating conditions. This type of drive also reduces the direct load on the motor at start-up, which extends the life of the entire system. In our designs, we use heavy-duty belts with high wear resistance and robust pulleys, which guarantee stable power transmission even in continuous operation. We make fan housings from thick-walled steel, and in the case of corrosive environments - from stainless steel materials or coated with protective coatings, which allows safe operation in harsh industrial environments.

Design and operation of belt fans in pneumatic conveying

The basis of the operation of a belt-driven conveying fan is an impeller with an appropriately selected blade profile, which efficiently moves air along with particulates. The belt drive separates the motor from the impeller, which provides greater resistance to shocks and varying loads. This allows us to transport materials of varying granularity - from light sawdust to heavier fractions such as chips, pellets and plastic pellets - without the risk of a sudden drop in performance. Depending on the requirements of the installation, we select the width and number of belts, the type of bearing, and the type of housing to guarantee long-term, stable operation. Each fan undergoes a dynamic rotor balancing process, which minimizes vibration and noise. In addition, we offer the possibility of making explosion-proof versions in accordance with the ATEX standard for operation in dust explosive areas.

Application of belt-driven transport fans in industry

Belt-driven transport fans are used in a wide range of industries - from wood and sawmill plants, to plastic recycling lines, to installations in the food and chemical industries. Their design allows for easy maintenance and replacement of belts, while adjustable gear ratios allow quick adjustment of parameters to changing production needs. They are ideal for both central installations serving multiple pick-up points and systems dedicated to single machines. Thanks to their versatility and durability, they can operate continuously, ensuring uninterrupted efficiency in the transport of air and bulk materials. We carry out each project based on a detailed analysis of the operating conditions, which allows us to provide devices fully adapted to the specific technological process at the customer's plant.
