Clutch-drive transport fans - durability and stable operation in demanding conditions

In pneumatic conveying systems, where both efficiency and trouble-free operation for many years are important, clutch-drive transport fans are a solution particularly appreciated by industrial users. Thanks to the clutch, the torque from the motor is transferred to an independently-bearing shaft, which almost completely relieves the load on the electric motor bearings and insulates the motor from the heat coming from inside the fan. At the same time, the absence of a belt transmission increases overall efficiency by about 5-10%. Such a design reduces the number of wear-prone components, which translates into lower maintenance costs and shorter plant downtime. In our fans we use impellers with appropriately selected blade geometry, which ensure stable flow of air or air-material mixture even at high load. The housings are made of durable steel and, if necessary, also in stainless or acid-resistant version, which allows operation in chemically aggressive environments or with increased humidity.

Design and operating parameters of coupling fans

We design clutch-driven transport (transmission) fans to balance high efficiency and reliability in continuous operation. A key element is a precisely balanced impeller that operates without excessive vibration, providing quieter operation and less stress on bearings. The coupling allows compensation for minor misalignments between the motor and fan, protecting mechanical components from excessive wear. When selecting a model for an installation, we take into account, among other things, the diameter of the inlet and outlet, the operating pressure, the power of the motor and the type of transported medium - from sawdust and chips to granules or industrial dust. In the case of explosion-prone areas, we can use an ATEX-compliant design, which increases the safety of use. Each fan undergoes performance and leakage tests so that in practice it maintains the parameters declared in the technical documentation.

Application of transport fans with clutch drive in industry

Clutch-drive fans are ideal for use in plants where reliability and the ability to operate continuously are crucial - from large sawmills and furniture factories to installations in the food, recycling or plastics processing industries. Their design makes them resistant to dust, high loads and harsh environmental conditions. They can operate as part of a central extraction system, in pneumatic conveying process lines or as dedicated units for individual machines. We make them in various configurations, which allows them to be fully adapted to spatial conditions and process requirements. Our customers appreciate them for their simple operation, high durability and ability to easily integrate with existing infrastructure. We carry out each project individually, so that the final product is fully adapted to the specific operation of the plant and provides high parameters for the transport of air or material.
